Gaiter III is a treeless saddle developed for horses with distinct gaits and horses in need of a lot of shoulder freedom. It is also a very good saddle for short-backed horses and horses with a wide back.
 
The difference between the Gaiter II and Gaiter III:
The  Gaiter III has smaller, slightly higher placed thigh support that gives even more freedom to the lower leg. The flaps are slightly slimmer. The panels have an extra layer of latex foam. Otherwise, both models have the same nice comfort and perfect fit.

The well thought-out position of the saddle girth straps (V-system with self adjustable rear strap) stabilizes the saddle, even on wide horses where the saddle tends to slide.
